About Us

What is The West Side Review?

The West Side Review is a nonprofit, political and social dialogue between students and members of the West Side community in Cleveland, Ohio. We accept writing from anyone and publish it on our site, even if you don’t live in Ohio City: everyone’s on the west side of something, right?

How did The West Side Review come about?

Initially the brainchild of Nathan Peereboom, and brought into being with leadership and initiative from Dan McCarthy, Senan Susan, and Cam Colella, The West Side Review owes countless people for the advice, encouragement, and investement that allowed a simple and idealistic vision to become a reality in the Spring of 2009.

A nonprofit with advertising?

Although we are a nonprofit, we do advertise. After paying our overhead expenses, we donate all profits to charity. This month, we are donating to The West Side Catholic Center.
